- Instagram account information (username, profile data, follower counts)
- Content you authorize us to access (posts, comments, direct messages, insights)
- Usage data and analytics about how you interact with our services
2. How We Use Your Information
We use this information to:
- Provide Instagram management and analytics services
- Display your account performance metrics and insights
- Schedule and publish content to your Instagram feed (with your explicit approval)
- Respond to direct messages on your behalf within the 24-hour Meta messaging window (after separate consent)
- Moderate and respond to comments on your media (after separate consent)
- Communicate with you about your account and our services
- Improve our services and develop new features
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Instagram Permissions We Request
Our app requests these Instagram permissions:
- instagram_basic - Access your profile and media
- instagram_content_publish - Post content to your feed (only after your explicit approval)
- instagram_manage_insights - Display your account analytics
- instagram_manage_comments - Read and respond to comments on your media
- instagram_business_manage_messages - Read and send direct messages (requires separate consent)
Note on Direct Messages: We only access your direct messages after you have explicitly opted in to our DM management service. You can use our service without enabling DM access.
4. Opt-Out Mechanism
You may opt out of any data collection or processing at any time:
- Via email: Reply to any message from our service with the word "STOP". We will immediately cease all processing of your account.
- Via Instagram: Send us a DM with "STOP" and we will disable all features within 24 hours.
- Via email: Contact sean@seanpjones.net with "Opt-Out Request" in the subject line.
Upon opt-out, we will:
- Stop collecting new data from your account
- Delete your data from our systems within 30 days (except as required by law)
- Provide written confirmation of deletion upon request
5. Human Support Escalation
Our Instagram management service includes human oversight:
- If you reply to any message from our service with the word "HELP" or "SUPPORT," a human team member will respond via Instagram DM within 4 business hours.
- If you email sean@seanpjones.net with any concern, a human will respond within 1 business day.
- You always have the right to request a human conversation at any time.
6. Data Deletion
You may request complete deletion of your data at any time:

Upon receiving a deletion request, we will:
- Delete all data associated with your account from our systems within 14 days
- Confirm deletion in writing via email
- Revoke our access to your Instagram account

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers who assist in operating our services (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics)
- Legal authorities when required by law or to comply with valid legal process

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews.
9. Data Retention
We retain your information for 12 months following account deletion or service termination, unless a shorter period is required by law. Financial records may be retained longer as required for tax and legal compliance. Upon opt-out, data is deleted within 30 days.

If we discover a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you within 72 hours via email and will take immediate steps to remediate the breach.
